Organically Prepared Back to Eden is an organic food processing company manufacturing culinary marinades, salsa sauces and seasonal dips.  They also supply organic fruit & vegetables to local communities, trade and charities.

"Attending the Green ICT, saved on purchasing a new laptop and printer cartridges.  We were able to minimise the usage of paper and electrical.  I have learn't more about reducing our carbon foot print within a business, and the practicalities to be a better green business.
We have also been able to implement better food manufacturing practices and sustainability.  We have also looked at agriculture cultivation and how we can procure our own fertilizer for agricultural growth.  We source locally, to minimise the transportation for deliveries."

From these actions they have reduced their annual carbon dioxide emissions by around 4.4 tonnes CO₂e with an estimated cost saving of over £420.

Project name and objectives:

The ERDF funded project - Environmental Savings through ICT (Green ICT) is a Global Action Plan - UK initiative to assist 122 SMEs in London increase their economic performance and reduce a total of 100 tonnes of CO2. The project is part financed by the GLA's ERDF Programme 2007-13. The aim of the project is to help small and medium sized businesses to implement IT solutions to help them manage and reduce their environmental impact while optimising business growth.
